Sausage-Cheese Balls

Y'all probably already have this one. It's from Grammy's "Christmas Favorites" recipe book (for some reason, it's called Southern Sausage Biscuits in the book, but this is not my idea of a sausage biscuit).

2 cups Bisquick
1/2 cup water
1 pound hot sausage, cooked and thoroughly drained (I use Jimmy Dean's)
1 cup sharp cheddar, grated

Mix everything up and roll it into little balls. Cook at 400 for 10-15 minutes. That's all there is to it.

mmmmm this is my absolute fave bfast/brunch little snack. I absolutely adore sausage cheese balls!!!
(and anna, you can also make them with veggie meat and they are still just as good!!)

Here is the vegetarian method (we tried it this Christmas): just substitute a 12-oz. package of Morningstar Farms sausage crumbles and add a little oil (1-2 tbl.) to the mixture. Easy as pie and they came out great.
